The principal directions of research of Department of Pediatrics

1. General theme: “The impact of acute and chronic bronchipulmonary diseases in associated diseases in children”.

The goal and objectives: The study of particularities of etiopathogenesis, diagnosis, evolution and treatment of children’s chronic diseases associated with bronchopulmonary diseases.

The type of study: initiative/institutional. The term of realization:2012-2016.

Expected results: There will be appreciated and evaluated the etiopathogenetic particularities of children’s chronic diseases associated with bronchopulmonary diseases, which will allow the elaboration and implementing of differentiated therapeutic programs in children.

2. The naming of theme: “Diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases in children”.

The goal and objectives: Determining of digestive diseases pathomorphosis in children in the last years and argumenting of curative management.

The type of study: initiative/institutional.

The term of realization:2008-2013.

Expected results: elaboration of diagnostic and therapeutic management in acute pancreatitis.

3. The naming of theme: “Primary immunodeficiencies (PID) in children”

The goal and objectives: Finding of children in Republic of Moldova and applying in practice of international protocols of immunological and molecular-biological diagnosis of PID.

The type of study: initiative/institutional.

The term of realization:2009-2013.

Expected results: applying in practice of contemporary methods of immunological and molecular-biological diagnosis of PID. Elaboration of national protocol “Diagnostic and therapeutic management of children with PID”.

4. The naming of theme: “Precocious prophylaxis and preventive treatment of nervous system pathology in children”.

The goal and objectives: Amelioration of morbidity and neurological invalidization in children.

The type of study: initiative/institutional.

The term of realization:2010-2015.

Expected results: There will be obtained the decreasing of neurological morbidity and invalidization in children.

5. The naming of theme: „The congenital anomalies in children”.

The goal and objectives: Selection of children with congenital anomalies of different organs and systems by applying in practice of international and national protocols of diagnosis.

The type of study: initiative/institutional.

The term of realization: 2011-2015.

Expected results: The applying in practice of contemporary methods of children’s congenital anomalies diagnosis; the identifying of risk factors in children’s congenital anomalies development.
